This little tripod is still looking for her forever home in an ONLY dog household in order to give her space & adequate one on one attention. Meet & greets would have to be arranged with another dog to assess if Jess would be ok with this

Jess is a 5 year old energetic border collie x whippet. She has the build & speed of a whippet, despite having 3 legs, but the fluffy coat of a border collie

She is microchipped, spayed & fully vaccinated.

She had one back leg amputated at 6 months old, but this does not stop her in anyway & leads a happy, normal life

She loves walks, especially running.

She’ll play with toys for a short time, especially liking tug.

She’s affectionate, comes when called & is friendly with other dogs when off lead. She can sometimes get overexcited when onlead. She is ok with other dogs outside of the home, she likes her own space.

She walks well onlead after some initial excitement, but can show lead frustration or be overstimulated. .

She is gentle with food.

She can sometimes be more wary of being examined, possibly due to her leg, but is no problem at the vet.

Just like any dog, she can bark at noise, but stops when asked to.

She doesn’t travel well in our van – salivating & sometimes being sick. We don’t have access to a car to try her in, but there is the possibility of meds or herbal remedies to control this.

She can be brushed with the soft side of a brush or a glove as her coat is thin & has gained confidence with having knots etc dealt with.
