Star and Destiny
*NOW IN THEIR NEW HOME*
Star and Destiny are 2 adorable, excitable poodle x sisters. Aged 4 they are full of life and affectionate. Both spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. They have come into rescue when their owners working circumstances changed and they were no longer able to give them the time they required. They are very much bonded so we are looking for a home together. They would prefer calm, older children. Some history of sensitive tummies, so need a sensitive food.
If you think you could offer this energy-filled pair a home, please complete our online form by clicking on the ‘enquire about a dog’ button on the dog page of our website.
Luna
*Luna has now been successfully rehomed*
Luna is a beautiful 4 year old tri colour border collie. Sadly she is also deaf, so kennels would not be the ideal environment for her. We are therefore looking for prospective new people to pass on to the present owner, who can no longer keep here as she is being evicted soon.
Luna is not great with children, so it would need to be a child free home. Luna is spayed and vaccinated (the owner will be getting the booster done at the beginning of June). Experience of collies and deafness would be appreciated. If you think you can offer Luna a home please call us on 02380559552 or email us contact@secondchanceanimalrescue.co.uk
Evil Elvis!
* SADLY ELVIS HAS SOME EATING PROBLEMS WHICH WE ARE TRYING TO RECTIFY BEFORE WE CAN REHOME*
Don’t worry Elvis is only evil to other tortoise! He loves humans. He is a horse field of over 5 years of age. He is small, but big enough to enjoy a secure garden and hibernate in the winter. We are looking for an experienced tortoise home with no other tortoise.
If you think that you can offer Elvis a home please complete our online form by clicking on the “enquire about a small animal button”.
Bettie
* NOW IN HER NEW HOME*
Bettie is a year old cross breed. She can be nervous of strangers and new dogs. She is an active little girl, looking for a home with no other animals and older children. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
If you think you can offer Betty a home please complete our online ‘enquire about a dog’ form or call us on 02380559552.
Elsa
* NOW IN HER NEW HOME*
Elsa is a JR x of 8 years of age. She has had a traumatic time, needing major surgery to remove mammary cysts, a hydrometra, a lump and then a spay. Bless her, she is still an excitable active little girl. We are unsure of her whole background but believe she could have been used for puppy breeding. She is definitely retired from that part of her life now and would like someone active to give her a loving new home. If you think you could offer Elsa a new home please complete our ‘enquire about a dog’ form here on the website or call 02380559552.
*please note we are not always able to take all calls, so please leave a message on our machine and we will get back to you as soon as we can.*

Sadie
*NOW IN HER NEW HOME*
Sadie is a very lively spaniel terrier cross. She is around 18 months old with a bit of a high prey-drive and ball fixation! Whilst with us, she has been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is a lovely happy girl, but will need an active home who can continue to work on her training.
If you think you can offer Sadie a home please complete our online ‘enquire about a dog’ form or call 02380559552.
Opal
*Opal is now in her forever home*
Opal is a young energetic cat. She sadly was brought in, pregnant and full of fleas having been passed on from one owner to the next. Her kittens are all now rehomed and she has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She would prefer a home with no young children as she can play a little rough, but then can be loving the next moment. She is semi-longhaired.
If you think you could offer Opal a home, away from busy roads as she’d love a garden to explore please complete our online form. Just click on the ‘enquire about a cat’ button on this cat page.

Bertie
*We are pleased to say Bertie is now in his forever home.*
This is the amazing Bertie! He is in foster in the UK and looking for his forever home Bertie acts like a classic labrador and has the most handsome lab face to match, he would be ideal for a retriever loving family!
He is:
Approx 5 years old
Neutered and vaccinated
Already in the UK
Amazing with people and other dogs
Great in the car
A pro at playing fetch
Here is a testimonial from Bertie’s wonderful foster family:
“Bertie is 5 years old and has been with us for the last 7 months. He looks like a labrador cross, and acts like one too, loving his food, and being a friendly goofball. People are his favourite things (well, besides food)!
He has such a positive outlook on life. Playing with our other dogs is high on his list of favourite things. Playing ball is definitely one of his favourite things!
Most of his exercise and play happens in our paddock. But when he gets the chance for walks and off-lead play when out and about, he gets a bit excited, because those are among his favourite things. He travels well in the car and is very well-behaved when doing so because it is one of his favourite things!
Training and learning tricks – you’ve guessed it, they are his favourite things.
He’s such a happy, friendly dog, and deserves a loving family of his own. Here, he is just one of the pack, and we don’t have the time he would like to give him individual attention and cuddles. He’s used to that lifestyle from his previous home and misses it now. Ideally, his new forever home would have one or more dogs already in residence to provide companionship when his human family is busy doing their own thing. He’s perfectly OK being left for up to 4 hours at a time.”
