Bettie

Bettie is a year old cross breed. She can be nervous of strangers and new dogs. She is an active little girl, looking for a home with no other animals and older children. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
If you think you can offer Betty a home please complete our online ‘enquire about a dog’ form or call us on 02380559552.

Elsa

* NOW IN HER NEW HOME*
Elsa is a JR x of 8 years of age. She has had a traumatic time, needing major surgery to remove mammary cysts, a hydrometra, a lump and then a spay. Bless her, she is still an excitable active little girl. We are unsure of her whole background but believe she could have been used for puppy breeding. She is definitely retired from that part of her life now and would like someone active to give her a loving new home. If you think you could offer Elsa a new home please complete our ‘enquire about a dog’ form here on the website or call 02380559552.
*please note we are not always able to take all calls, so please leave a message on our machine and we will get back to you as soon as we can.*

Sadie

*NOW IN HER NEW HOME*
Sadie is a very lively spaniel terrier cross. She is around 18 months old with a bit of a high prey-drive and ball fixation! Whilst with us, she has been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is a lovely happy girl, but will need an active home who can continue to work on her training.
If you think you can offer Sadie a home please complete our online ‘enquire about a dog’ form or call 02380559552.

The Seven Dwarfs!

*We are now taking applications on Doc and Dopey, who are almost there, but will need a quiet , understanding home, willing to continue their training, including toilet training.*

In November we received a call from one of the counties dog wardens about 7 dogs who had been dumped in a lay-by in 2 dog crates. They were described as all being small and frightened. When they arrived at the rescue they were carried in as they had never worn collars or even seen a lead. Neglected and with no idea who we were, nails too long, coats smelling of urine. Where had these poor dogs been kept? Inter bred, used, these poor dogs were heart breaking. 4 months on and they are still scared. We have bathed, groomed and wormed (yes there tummies were full of worms!). They have been neutered so their bodies can no longer be abused. They will need toilet training. But they are still going to need a lot of time and won’t be ready to be re-homed for perhaps months rather than weeks. With 7 dogs arriving in one day, we had no choice but to name them after the 7 dwarfs, Welcome Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy and Dopey.

Crumble

* Crumble is now in his new forever home*
Crumble was as sweet as apple crumble. He was a 2 year old lurcher. He was neutered and vaccinated whilst with us. He was a typical lurcher, so we were looking for an experienced lurcher home with no cats or small animals.

Bonnie

*NOW IN HER NEW HOME*
Bonnie was an 8 year old poodle x. She had a tough start to her life, but was thoroughly enjoying her time in rescue! She was presently in a foster home, learning how to live in a home again and how to walk on lead, although she had great recall off lead because she was such a loyal loving dog. She had now been spayed and vaccinated whilst at the rescue. She was looking for a home with maybe one other dog and older children. She needed an active family as she thought nothing of walking 2 hours at a time!
